Bologna FC, an Italian football club, has confirmed a data breach after falling victim to a ransomware attack. The attackers, who used the RansomHouse ransomware, demanded a ransom payment from the club. Bologna FC, however, chose not to pay the ransom, resulting in the leaked data being released online.

The leaked data included sensitive information such as employee records, financial data, and confidential club documents. This breach highlights the increasing threat of ransomware attacks on organizations across various sectors, including sports.

The incident underscores the importance of robust cybersecurity measures to protect sensitive data. Organizations must invest in strong security solutions, regularly update their systems, and educate their employees about cybersecurity best practices.
