Global Connectivity Adani Ports and Marseille Fos Forge Western European Gateway

Published

Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone (APSEZ) has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Port of Marseille Fos to strengthen the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor (IMEC). This partnership establishes Marseille Fos as the western European gateway for Indian goods, adding approximately 70 million tonnes of capacity to the network. By connecting Adani’s eastern gateways at Mundra and Hazira directly to France, the agreement creates a more structured and coordinated pathway for India-EU trade flows. This collaboration is expected to significantly reduce transit times and logistics costs for exporters. It reinforces India’s position as a critical player in the global multimodal logistics ecosystem, especially following the “mother of all deals” (India-EU FTA).
