To combat the rising costs of logistics, the government is accelerating the digitalization and automation of major ports. Authorities at JNPA are implementing new digital tracking systems to eliminate procedural delays and improve the speed of cargo clearance. Simultaneously, the development of mega-projects like the Vadhvan Port and various Multimodal Logistics Parks (MMLPs) is being prioritized. These projects aim to create a seamless interface between rail, road, and water transport. By reducing the “turnaround time” for ships and improving port efficiency, India aims to become a more resilient and cost-effective player in the global export-import market.
