Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone (APSEZ) has significantly expanded its strategic software partnership with US-based supply chain provider Kaleris, committing up to $100 million in a two-phase automation rollout. This investment is an integral part of APSEZ’s broader $850 million technology and decarbonization roadmap leading up to 2031, targeting a massive one billion tonnes of annual cargo handling capacity by 2030. Under the multi-year agreement, Kaleris will deploy AI-augmented terminal operating systems across 15 container terminals spanning nine domestic and international ports. The advanced integration is projected to unlock an additional 91 million metric tonnes of capacity while driving a 20% surge in Rubber Tyred Gantry (RTG) crane productivity and a 14% efficiency jump in terminal truck turnaround times.
