India’s logistics sector delivered a strong financial performance in FY26, achieving a combined market capitalization of ₹6.52 lakh crore, with net sales climbing 15% to ₹1,15,852 crore and net profits reaching ₹21,533 crore. Port operators led overall profitability (generating ₹45,256 crore in sales), supported by major players like Adani Ports, JSW Infrastructure, and Gujarat Pipavav, as Indian ports handled a record 915 million tonnes of cargo with planned capacity set to reach 3,500 MTPA by FY30. Other segments, including shipping (Great Eastern, SCI), road and rail logistics (Concor, Delhivery, BlackBuck), and express couriers, benefited from PM GatiShakti, dedicated freight corridors, and e-commerce growth. This expanding infrastructure backbone aligns directly with the CETA framework taking effect, which will immediately drop tariffs on major Indian export lines to zero, driving India’s ambition to transform from a domestic consumption economy into a global manufacturing and supply chain hub.
