To streamline inland cargo movement, Air India SATS and Concor’s subsidiary signed an agreement to facilitate seamless transit of customs-cleared cargo between the Inland Container Depot in Dadri and Noida International Airport. Further boosting maritime infrastructure, the Ministry of Ports approved a ₹334.89 crore elevated flyover corridor at Visakhapatnam Port to resolve internal rail-road traffic cross-intersections and accelerate cargo evacuation. These infrastructure steps come as Kandla and Mundra ports experience severe congestion with clearance delays of 35-40 days, causing an inventory backlog of 80,000 tonnes of rice and threatening international supply commitments. Despite these logistical bottlenecks, India’s broader export landscape showed solid growth, with textile and apparel exports reaching ₹3.3 lakh crore in FY26, while tobacco product exports recorded a remarkable 166.51 percent increase in value over the last decade.
