During the clearance process, Customs Brokers must handle numerous activities beyond routine filing. These include ensuring compliance with allied laws (BIS, EPR, LMPC, WPC), securing approvals and testing clearances from Partner Government Agencies (PGAs), coordinating 100% physical container examinations, scanning, cargo destuffing, and managing post-clearance audits or inquiries (DRI, SIIB, CIU). Extensive travel across geographically dispersed ports, CFSs, and warehousing zones, combined with extended working hours, significantly increases manpower deployment and operational costs.
