Adani Ports Surge: Strategic International Acquisitions Fuel Record Financial Growth

Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd (APSEZ) reported a 10.23% increase in consolidated net profit to ₹3,649.5 crore for Q1 FY27, beating market expectations. Total income surged to ₹11,673.7 crore. Growth was heavily supported by international acquisitions and marine operations, its overseas port revenue jumped 80% year-on-year to ₹1,747 crore, with EBITDA soaring 256% to ₹730 crore, backed by expanded operations in Australia (NQXT terminal) and Sri Lanka (Colombo terminal). APSEZ CEO Ashwani Gupta highlighted a strategic focus on expanding along key East-West and Mediterranean maritime trade corridors via high-value, margin-accretive brownfield assets rather than greenfield projects.
