The state of Andhra Pradesh has launched an ambitious infrastructure drive with investment proposals exceeding ₹1.5 lakh crore across multiple districts. The maritime sector is leading this growth, with the Andhra Pradesh Maritime Board signing 20 MoUs for mega-projects. Key developments include the Mulapeta port in Srikakulam, the expansion of Gangavaram port, and new LNG terminals at Kakinada.
In the aviation sector, the state has secured 10 MoUs, including a ₹20,000 crore investment by GMR-VIAL for the Bhogapuram Aerocity. These projects cover aerospace manufacturing, flight training, and the development of high-speed infrastructure in districts like Sri Sathya Sai and Kurnool. The state is also focusing on shipbuilding clusters in Krishna and Nellore districts, projecting investments of over ₹12,000 crore.
To support this massive physical infrastructure, the state is implementing the Unified Logistics Interface Platform (ULIP) and a dedicated MICE Promotion Bureau. These initiatives aim to strengthen tourism, logistics, and investment facilitation across the state. Additionally, captive ports are being established by AMNS and NTPC in Anakapalli to support industrial self-sufficiency.
