APM Terminals Pipavav has secured a five-year contract with ONGC (Oil and Natural Gas Corporation) to establish a new offshore oil and gas logistics base at its multi-cargo port. The agreement designates APM Terminals Pipavav as ONGC’s strategic supply base partner, a move that is expected to strengthen and scale the port’s key role in advancing India’s energy security.
The collaboration will leverage Pipavav’s proximity to ONGC’s key oil fields in the Tapti and Kutch regions to provide a safe, reliable, and well-equipped infrastructure for offshore operations. According to Girish Aggarwal, the Managing Director at APM Terminals Pipavav, the alliance reflects the company’s commitment to supporting national development and maintaining high standards of operational excellence. The port’s advanced multi-modal infrastructure and integrated warehousing are expected to ensure supply chain resilience and reliability for the broader oil and gas sector.
For Gujarat Pipavav Port Ltd (GPPL), the parent company of APM Terminals Pipavav, this contract opens a new business area. It also showcases the port’s capability to deliver complex, high-impact solutions, positioning it to play a vital role in shaping India’s offshore logistics landscape.
