Baltic Gateway Strategic Access Economic Corridor Urea Joint Venture

Published

India’s Adani Group, alongside the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA) and the Mumbai Port Authority, are in advanced talks to invest and participate in Lithuania’s Klaipeda Port Southport expansion. This strategic move aims to establish a direct gateway to Central Europe and Nordic nations, greatly complementing the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor (IMEC). Simultaneously, India and Russia are setting up a massive joint venture urea manufacturing plant in Russia that will produce 2 million tonnes annually, with the entire volume dedicated for export back to India to secure domestic agricultural supply. Additionally, Morocco has invited Indian defense, automotive, and aerospace firms to set up manufacturing hubs to ease trade flows into European and African markets.
