Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal announced during a major business delegation to Japan that India is actively negotiating free trade agreements with 8 to 9 key economies, covering $15 trillion in global GDP and aiming for 75% coverage of worldwide trade. India is targeting 10 trillion yen in Japanese investments over the next decade to scale bilateral trade beyond its current $27.5 billion mark. Demonstrating technological integration during the UP-Japan Investment Meet, the Indian government’s AI platform ‘Bhasini’ powered real-time multilingual translation between Hindi, English, and Japanese. Processing over 24 million daily requests across 22 national languages, Bhasini effectively eliminated cross-border language barriers, establishing seamless high-level communication for global investors
