The Indian government has introduced the ₹25,060 crore Export Promotion Mission (EPM) to bolster the global competitiveness of micro and small exporters. Under the mission’s TRACE measure, the government will fund a significant portion of the costs incurred by MSMEs to obtain international quality certifications and comply with global regulations like REACH and CBAM in Europe. This initiative aims to remove financial barriers related to testing, inspections, and accreditation, allowing smaller players to expand their global footprint. By providing 360-degree support, from raw material access to international branding, the mission is expected to accelerate India’s overall export growth.
