A report from the Press Trust of India indicates that the express logistics and courier sector in India is projected to grow to $18-22 billion by FY2029-30, up from an estimated $9 billion in FY2024. The sector is experiencing rapid transformation to meet the growing demand for fast and reliable delivery solutions across various modes of transport, including road, rail, air, and coastal networks.
The growth is driven by domestic express, which makes up about 70% of the market and is led by surface transport. International express is also expanding rapidly due to global demand for “Made-in-India” products. The sector’s agility and innovation are helping to facilitate e-commerce, MSMEs, and exports.
