At the national Board of Trade meeting, Union Minister Piyush Goyal confirmed that India is firmly on track to hit an unprecedented $1 trillion export target for goods and services, aggressively utilizing active Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) across 38 developed economies. To support this, the Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO) has demanded urgent federal intervention to lower sky-high ocean freight rates and restore export credit mechanisms to ease liquidity traps for MSMEs. These macro-strategies are trickling down to landlocked states like Madhya Pradesh, which is actively demanding specialized regional semiconductor and textile testing hubs. Simultaneously, the Marine Products Export Development Authority (MPEDA) is revolutionizing aquaculture logistics by partnering with Quikjet Cargo Airlines to fly fresh tuna directly from the Andaman Islands to Bengaluru, transforming standard catches into premium, sashimi-grade exports to multiply trade values fivefold.
