Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal has urged the Indian business community to adopt a “Patent, Produce, and Prosper” mindset to drive the next phase of national growth. To encourage this, the government has announced a three-year zero-fee regime for intellectual property (IP) filings related to the sports sector, aiming to spark domestic innovation. Simultaneously, India is aggressively expanding its reach by accelerating trade talks with Canada and initiating new dialogues with the Eurasian Economic Union and the Southern African Customs Union. These multifaceted efforts reflect a comprehensive push to ensure that India’s economic growth is supported by a diverse and resilient network of global trade partners.
