Govt to revive Hyperloop project soon

Published

The Maharashtra state government has decided to revive the Hyperloop project, which is intended to transport goods between JNPT (Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust) and Vadhvan Port. A strategic agreement was signed with a start-up that was incubated at IIT Madras to develop a Linear Induction Motor-based high-speed mobility system for the project.

The goal of the Hyperloop project is to ease the transportation of goods and improve logistics between the two major ports. The revival of this project is a significant step towards modernizing India’s logistics infrastructure and supporting the country’s ambitious port development plans.
