  • East and Gulf Coast: For cargo shipped to the East and Gulf Coast of North America, the new GRI will be implemented on July 15th, 2024. The rate increase will be USD 1,000 per container for all dry, reefer, and special containers, including high cube equipment.
  • West Coast: Shipments to the West Coast of North America will see a higher increase, with the GRI taking effect on the same date (July 15th, 2024) and amounting to USD 2,000 per container.

The announcement also details an upcoming Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) applying to specific routes. This surcharge will be implemented on July 1st, 2024, for shipments from the West and North Coast of India* to the US East Coast, with a charge of USD 500 per container. For all other routes from the Indian Subcontinent and Middle East to the West Coast, the PSS will be implemented on June 17th, 2024, with a charge of USD 2,000 per container.
