Meanwhile, in Andhra Pradesh, officials announced plans to construct a 5-kilometer, four-lane greenfield road connecting Kakinada Port’s southern gate to National Highway 216. This infrastructure upgrade is set to bypass Kakinada city, reducing heavy cargo transport distances by 22 kilometers and cutting travel time by 30 to 40 minutes.
