Jindal Steel commissioned Phase-I of its 12.5 million tonne dry bulk cargo terminal at Paradip Port in Odisha ahead of schedule as part of a ₹3,400 crore investment project. Developed through Jindal Paradip Port Ltd, the facility will eventually scale to 25 MTPA, securing long-term raw material logistics for domestic steel production. Meanwhile, global logistics networks have shifted from ‘just-in-time’ to ‘anyhow, anytime’ operations due to the West Asia conflict and disruptions around Dubai’s Jebel Ali port, driving up freight costs and crew shortages. Additionally, the International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA) issued new accreditation guidelines for gold refiners in GIFT City, establishing transparent supply chain standards that enable Indian bullion exporters to access international markets.
