The Saudi Ports Authority, known as “Mawani,” has announced the integration of King Abdul Aziz Port in Dammam into Abu Dhabi Ports’ new shipping service, “UIG.” This enhancement aims to streamline the movement of exports and imports, prioritizing efficiency, safety, and sustainability.
The UIG service will connect King Abdul Aziz Port in Dammam to six major regional and international ports. These include Mundra, Kandla, and Nhava Sheva in India; Umm Qasr in Iraq; Hamad in Qatar; and Khalifa in Abu Dhabi. The service will operate with regular weekly trips and boasts a capacity of up to 3,700 TEUs.
