Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has emphasized the importance of a strong logistics sector for the state’s growth and called for the inclusion of rural areas in this development. During a meeting with logistics CEOs, he suggested proposals for a multi-modal logistics platform that would use road, rail, air, and waterways.
Naidu stressed that logistics should be a seamless, end-to-end service, connecting production centers to consumption points. He also called for the creation of a ‘Logistics Grid’ for the state, which would link all sectors, including agriculture and related industries in rural areas. Naidu said that a well-developed logistics sector would attract investments and create more jobs in the state.
