Mango Exports to US Back to Normal (Financial Express)

Published

India’s mango exports to the US have normalized after an irradiation facility in Mumbai resolved a data issue that led to rejection of 12 consignments earlier in May.

India exports mangoes under a cooperative agreement between APEDA and the USDA. The process includes hot water and irradiation treatment at USDA-approved sites.

India is the sixth-largest mango exporter globally and contributes 43% of global production. In FY24, exports to the US rose 130%, with value increasing from $4.36 million in FY23 to $10.01 million.
