Maritime Security Advisory – DG Shipping Issues High Alert

Published

With increasing threats in the Persian Gulf, the Directorate General of Shipping has issued an urgent security advisory for all Indian-flagged vessels. Seafarers have been instructed to conduct rigorous security drills to defend against potential drone and small-boat attacks. As shipping giants like Maersk suspend Red Sea transits, air freight is also being affected. Gems and jewelry exporters are currently scrambling to secure alternative air corridors through Europe to maintain their raw material supply chains.
