Shri Sarbananda Sonowal, the Minister of Ports, Shipping & Waterways, virtually flagged off Electrolysers manufactured by L&T for a 1 MW Green Hydrogen Plant at Deendayal Port Authority (DPA), Kandla. This initiative aligns with the National Green Hydrogen Mission and aims to promote energy transition.
The flag-off ceremony was attended by key officials, including Shri T.K. Ramachandran, IAS, Secretary, Ministry of Ports, Shipping & Waterways, and Sushil Kumar Singh, IRSME, Chairman DPA. The electrolysers were dispatched from L&T’s Hazira manufacturing facility, with DPA officials witnessing the event virtually.
DPA Kandla initiated the establishment of the Green Hydrogen Plant to support sustainable energy adoption in India’s maritime sector and provide engineers and technicians with exposure to green hydrogen production and handling.
